Trysil
Trysil in the elongated province of Hedmark in Eastern Norway is one of the most snow-dependable destinations in Europe, and is the biggest winter sport region in Scandinavia. You can ski, snowboard or cross-country ski here to your heart’s content for half of the year. Portula has some sunny building plots on offer in Trysil, which offer views of the slopes. There are even some plots offering ‘ski-in-ski-out’ possibilities.
The winter sport facilities in Trysil include:
- 64 ski slopes
- 72 km ski slope
- 90 km cross-country skiing routes
- 25 lifts
- A halfpipe
- Creches everywhere
Outside the winter sport season, Trysil is a paradise for fishers. The Trysilelva has the biggest grayling population in Scandinavia and it is also possible to catch large pike in the many lakes. In addition, this area is ideal for lovers of hiking, horse riding, canoeing, golf and wellness. Or maybe try a beaver safari or husky trekking!
Trysil lies some 200 km north-east of Oslo and, thanks to the infrastructure that was constructed for the 1994 Olympic Games, it is very easily accessible and surrounded by extensive facilities.
