Treungen

Treungen lies in the province of Telemark in the South of Norway. The climate there is mild, and thanks to its central location Treungen is an ideal home base for visits, for example to the beautiful coastal town of Arendal. Many activities are possible in the area around Treungen, both in the summer and in the winter, such as:

  • Skiing in Vrådal or Gautefall
  • Water sport on the lake
  • Swimming on the numerous beaches
  • Cross-country skiing and hiking
  • Elk or beaver safari
  • Snow scooter safari or sled dog rides
  • Fishing
  • Mountain biking
  • Horse riding
  • Boat excursions over the Nisser lake
  • Golfing in Vrådal

Treungen possesses all the most important facilities, such as a bank, two supermarkets, restaurants, a medical centre and a tourism office. A house with a mooring for a boat is a possibility here.

Treungen is easily accessible by both plane and car. From Larvik, where ferry boats from Denmark arrive, it is only 110 kilometres to Treungen. Treungen is not far from the Torp airport near to the town of Sandefjord, and KLM, among others, operates daily flights there. Other flight connections are also possible. Portula will be pleased to supply you with information about this.

Personal wishes, sampling the atmosphere & 'trial stay'

Everything begins with your personal preferences. This means that we identify your wishes and sample the atmosphere of the various locations, for as long as it takes to find a plot that is ideal for you. Portula’s personnel visit Norway and regularly, so they can show you a variety of plots. We will be pleased to help you plan your journey and organise your ‘trial stay’ accommodation for a modest price in a new wooden bungalow.
